    1. It is. And that’s ok. If you can’t cope with it, you’re in the wrong job (or perhaps, trying to be in the wrong job). But we all need reminding every so often that rejection is a universal experience in the literary world. It doesn’t mean ‘never’, it means ‘not this time’.

  1. It’s important to remind ourselves how often great authors have been rejected. After writing a decent manuscript and being willing to edit it further, persistence is the most valuable quality a writer can possess.

    1. My mentor once said to me, ‘you’ll succeed at this because unlike so many, you’re prepared to do the work‘. Persistence, being willing to listen and not being precious about our ‘darlings’. I’m convinced it will pay off – for both of us. 🙂

    1. Hi and thanks for the nomination for the Liebster award. However… having completed the full task for two similar awards in recent months, I’ve decided not to undertake any more of these. I do hope you understand.
